A healing crisis occurs when the body is purging more than it can process -- physically, emotionally or spiritually. It can be a normal part of the healing process. The medical term for a healing crisis is the “Herxheimer Reaction.” This occurs when the cells release toxins into circulation, but the elimination organs (skin, lungs, liver, kidneys, bladder & GI tract) are not able to eliminate them quickly enough. The toxins remain in circulation and can affect the body.

How to Help Your Body Heal
Drink Plenty of Water
Drink at least 80 ounces of high quality, filtered water a day during detox. You can add 1-2 tablespoons of Lemon juice or Apple cider vinegar to help with detoxification.
Sleep and Rest
Sleep is super critical to the healing and detoxification. Sleeping10 -12 hours during the healing crisis processes can be transformative.
Stretching, Gentle Yoga & Walking
Moving the lymph and getting oxygen to your cells helps the body to detoxify. A chiropractic adjustment may also help.
Bone broth reduces inflammation and boosts immunity. Garlic and onions are anti-microbial and are loaded with sulfur compounds and the flavonoid quercetin.
